The Print Mill is a community project, led by a group of volunteers. We will provide silk screen facilities, a risograph machine, studios and exhibition space. We will be running a programme of drop in and booked creative workshops for the community of Macclesfield.
THE HEART OF THE PRINT MILL
The Print Mill supports the regeneration of Mill Street by creating an alternative use of a retail space. We want to get the community’s creative juices going with silk screen and risograph workshops for all ages and abilities. We also have a retail space where we are providing a shop window for local artists and craft people.
We have a Print Mill Artist in Residence – Ralph McGaul, he is a local artist who will be working with the Silk Museum pattern archive to create some exciting new products unique to Macclesfield.
The Print Mill relies on the kindness of volunteers to help out in the shop and with the workshops. If you think you might be interested or would like to pop in for chat please contact us.
We want the Print Mill to grow and be a success, with regular workshops, exhibitions and events taking place. We always welcome fresh ideas and suggestions so please don’t be shy in sharing your vision for this fabulous space!
